Laura Hyland has worked in the FMCG industry for 22 years, starting her career at GSK Consumer (now Haleon), then Henkel Consumer Brands for 17 years, and now in a global leadership role at BIC since 2022.   Prior to working in eCommerce and Digital, she worked across Brand marketing, Shopper Insights and Category management roles both in the US and Europe.  In 2016 Laura took over leadership of North American eCommerce for Henkel within both Pureplay and multi-channel retailers. Together with her team, she built the business from the ground up over the course of 6 years, learning what it takes to build a successful FMCG eCommerce business including account management, Digital Shelf, Retail Media, Supply Chain, Product innovation, and more.  She joined BIC in 2022 to lead their Global Digital Center of Excellence where she leads BIC’s capabilities and commercial strategy in Digital Commerce, Media, and Marketing.  Getting back into a global role is very rewarding – Laura can frequently be found spending time with BIC’s commercial teams across the world. Her team is based in both Connecticut and Paris where BIC has dual headquarters.  She lives in Connecticut with her husband Thomas and loves to play golf, ski, and travel.
